POSITION: MILLWRIGHT FOREMAN
Department: Construction / Tier 3
Position reports to: Company President
Status: Non-exempt; Hourly; Full-time

SUMMARY: The Millwright Foreman is responsible for installing, dismantling, repairing, reassembling,
including crane and construction services, for the process and bulk material handling industries served by
LandMarc Construction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Apply knowledge of grain elevator workings, procedures, and general layouts.
• Understand various types of grain elevator equipment.
• Work with basic tools, such as tape measures and power tools.
• Possess arc/stick welding knowledge and ability, along with extensive fabrication knowledge.
• Capable of fabrications of spouts, transitions, and general assembly of equipment.
• Perform physically demanding work, including some heavy lifting.
• Work at heights from 20’-200’.
• Able to work in harsh weather conditions.
• Be extremely competent in following all OSHA safety procedures – lock out/tag out, fall protection,
confined space, etc.
• Possess keen knowledge of rigging, precision installation and use of transits, lasers, etc.
• Coordinate multiple job tasks simultaneously, with the assistance of crew members.
• Effectively oversee the work of assigned crew, be a team player, set a good example, and reflect positively
upon the company.
• Accept direction from Company President and/or Project Manager.
• Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Complete required paperwork and track materials used at job site.
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with crew members, project managers, customers, and subcontractors, both off-site and on-site.
• Coordinate with office staff on the delivery of required equipment or materials.
• Inform customers regarding tasks being performed and/or what is needed to complete the job.
• Take initiative to complete other tasks, such as fueling equipment, organizing work trailers, job site cleanup, etc.
• Desire to progress and improve skill set and knowledge.
• Travel to work sites. Work crew may be away from home for 5-day increments. Some work projects may
require consecutive weeks of time away.
• Must be available to work weekends, when required.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
• Perform other functions as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
1. Education and Work Experience
• An appropriate certificate from a trade school or vocational school, or 3-5 years of related experience,
rigging or crane certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
2. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
• Must have mechanical aptitude and the ability to use a variety of tools.
• Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to read and interpret documents, such as plans and general layouts.
• Must have sound paperwork and material tracking skills.
• Must be able to deal professionally and tactfully with customers and staff at all times.
3. Physical Capabilities Required
• Job involves physically-demanding work.
• Lift 50-75 pounds regularly.
• Be comfortable with heights up to 200’ above ground.
• Exposure to physical environment, including excessive heat/cold weather elements, dust, dirt and noise.
• Work around machinery with moving parts.
• Work around moving objects or vehicles.
• Work on ladders or scaffolding and large structures.
• Job includes reaching, standing, walking, talking and hearing; moderate amounts of kneeling, twisting,
